Making Connections

The weeklong program combines CFFC programming in the morning with MESA Farm programming in the afternoon. The morning program is a sensory-rich, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed experience led by a multidisciplinary team. The ratio of staff to children is no more than 1:2. Children engage in interactive activities, while learning to manage their bodies and emotions, how to express needs in a healthy manner, and experience felt safety with trusted caregivers. We utilize Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and sensory integration. In the afternoon, children will participate in the MESA Farm riding program. Children will enjoy the farm experience while learning to work with and ride horses; including trail rides, vaulting (gymnastics on horseback), as well as meet other farm animals.

Parent Program

Caregivers and parents are strongly encouraged to attend parenting group on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning. Parenting program is a supportive environment. Strategies learned are coordinated with the children’s program for greater success. Families experience new calm, connection, contentment and changed behaviors.
